KGT is a tax technology consulting firm with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) implementation at the forefront of its services. We are hiring a senior Pre-Sales and Lead Generation professional to own and grow our European pipeline for SAP DRC, e-invoicing, and tax compliance solutions. This is a high-visibility, senior commercial role: you will act as the trusted first point of contact for tax, finance, and IT leaders navigating fast-changing global e-invoicing and digital reporting mandates, translate those regulatory drivers into compelling SAP DRC-led propositions, and shape deals from first conversation through to close. The role suits a seasoned professional with a strong sales background, deep familiarity with the SAP sales ecosystem, and the credibility to engage CXO and Head-of-Tax stakeholders as a peer.
Key Responsibilities
- Own lead generation and pipeline development for KGT's tax technology portfolio across Europe, with SAP DRC implementation services as the flagship offering, through outbound prospecting, regulatory-mandate-driven campaigns, events, webinars, and partner channels.
- Leverage upcoming e-invoicing and digital reporting mandates (e.g., ViDA, country-specific regimes across the EU and beyond) as demand triggers: identify affected organizations, build target lists, and time outreach around compliance deadlines.
- Lead the full pre-sales cycle for SAP DRC and tax compliance opportunities: discovery with tax, finance, and IT stakeholders, compliance-footprint and gap assessments, solution positioning, proposal and RFP/RFI responses, effort and pricing inputs, and executive-level presentations and demos.
- Act as a trusted advisor on tax technology: articulate how SAP DRC addresses e-invoicing, statutory reporting, and real-time reporting obligations, and how it compares with and complements external tax engines and point solutions.
- Build and deepen relationships across the SAP ecosystem — SAP account executives, DRC product and globalization teams, partner and alliance managers — to source, co-sell, and jointly position opportunities.
- Define and execute go-to-market campaigns and thought-leadership initiatives (mandate briefings, readiness assessments, country-rollout offerings) together with marketing and delivery leadership.
- Mentor and guide junior business development colleagues; bring senior judgment to deal qualification, bid/no-bid decisions, and commercial strategy.
- Maintain a rigorous pipeline and forecast in CRM; report on lead conversion, win rates, and campaign performance to leadership.
- Lead commercial negotiations and ensure a structured handover of won engagements to DRC delivery teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8-15 years of experience in pre-sales, business development, or sales, with a substantial focus on SAP services or solutions and a demonstrable record of senior-level deal ownership.
- Experience engaging multinational SAP customers with complex compliance, tax technology, and digital transformation programs.
- Strong, proven sales background with a track record of building pipeline and meeting or exceeding lead-generation and revenue targets in a consulting or solutions environment.
- Deep experience of the SAP sales ecosystem: partner programs, co-selling motions with SAP, alliances, and the SAP PartnerEdge landscape.
- Working knowledge of indirect tax and compliance topics — VAT, e-invoicing, digital/real-time reporting, SAF-T and statutory reporting — sufficient to hold a credible conversation with Tax Technology leads.
- Understanding of SAP DRC's positioning within the SAP portfolio (S/4HANA, BTP) and the broader tax technology market, at a commercial and solution-positioning level.
- Familiarity with SAP Finance, SAP Tax, SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, and compliance-driven business cases.
- Executive presence: excellent presentation, proposal-writing, and negotiation skills, with experience engaging stakeholders.
- Based in Europe with the ability to travel for client meetings, SAP events, and industry conferences; fluent English required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Tax, or a related field.
Preferred / Big Plus
- Strong preference for candidates with prior SAP DRC, SAP Tax, SAP Finance, or SAP Localization sales experience. An existing network of tax, finance, and IT decision-makers and SAP ecosystem contacts across European markets.
- Familiarity with country compliance mandates and regimes and the EU ViDA initiative.
- Additional European language skills (e.g., German, French, Dutch, Polish, Spanish).
